Swedish artist Anders Zorn (1860–1920) was a master of light and ambience. We’ve reproduced three of his drypoint etchings, a technique where the artist draws directly into a copper plate using a stylus with a sharp point. This print of a mother and child bathing is based on a motif that Zorn painted in several versions. The etching is almost photographic in the way it captures shading and the play of light on the water’s surface. We’ve reproduced this print at its actual size. The impression area is 153 x 233 mm.
