Swedish artist Anders Zorn (1860–1920) was a master of light and ambience. We've reproduced three of his drypoint etchings, a technique where an artist draws directly into a copper plate using a stylus with a sharp point. This scene of a rider galloping ahead of an impending storm is full of action and drama. The composition, lighting and broad strokes all combine to create a feeling of motion and a mood of narrative intensity. We've reproduced this print slightly larger than its actual size so that it matches our other Zorn prints better. The impression area is 163 mm x 233 mm.
